Anomaly President Weapons Guide
A bounded weapon reference covering the named arsenal, two-weapon carry model, and Kusarigama trade-off.

Table of contents
Named Early Access arsenal
Launch-window material names the following weapons:
| Weapon | What is established |
|---|---|
| Sword | Part of the named Early Access arsenal. |
| Nunchucks | Part of the named Early Access arsenal. |
| Claws | Part of the named Early Access arsenal. |
| Kusarigama | A reach and crowd-control weapon that can feel slow in a duel. |
| Staff | Part of the named Early Access arsenal. |
| Hammer | Introduced before launch and called the Anomaly Hammer at release. |
| Octo-Arms | Introduced before launch and included in the launch arsenal. |
Kicks and punches were described alongside this list rather than as another named weapon entry.
Pre-release material aimed for eight weapons, but its published named list contains seven. This guide does not invent the missing entry. It also leaves damage, attack speed, unlock conditions, upgrade values, and full move data out until those fields can be checked in the current build.
The useful comparison: Kusarigama versus a close-range option
The Kusarigama has the clearest published role:
- Its extended reach helps keep enemies at a distance.
- Its crowd control makes groups easier to manage.
- It can feel sluggish in one-on-one combat.
- The game supports carrying two weapons, so you can switch after controlling the group.
A practical pairing is the example used during development: control a crowd with the Kusarigama, then switch to the Sword for close combat. Treat that as a role example, not a universal best build.
How to choose without fake stats
Use three questions:
- Is the room crowded? Reach and crowd control matter more when several enemies can attack at once.
- Is the remaining target a duel? A tool that felt safe against a group may feel slow once only one aggressive target remains.
- What does the second slot solve? Carry a second weapon to cover the first weapon’s weak encounter rather than duplicating its job.
What the weapon table still needs
A complete database needs repeatable current-build values for damage, speed, unlock, upgrade levels, attack properties, and matchups. Until then, the named roster and Kusarigama comparison are the useful boundary.
